Design Statement
The Burbank High School Dance Department's 2026 Spring Showcase presented 34 student-choreographed team, duo, and solo performances in a variety of genres and styles. Divvying up these assignments with two other student lighting designers, Lena had the responsibility to create the right atmosphere and give each performer their spotlight in a dozen different numbers. Though the haze machine stopped working during the closing night of the performance, the show went on and audience members and performers were thrilled with how it turned out.
